What's hot in the Year 8 Kitchen?

The year 8's are finishing off their pastry unit with their own pie creation.

The smells from the pies wafted out of the classroom on pie making day.  The students designed their flavour combinations and chose the type of pastry to use, wrote their shopping list and their action plans (step-by-step instructions),  working out their time management plans. They had to make their own puff or short pastry, prepare the filling, then assemble and cook their pies.  The result was a lot of yummy pies.
