Year 7 Fabrics

Cushions are designed to add comfort and decorate a space. Our first rotation of Year 7 students are well on the way to completing their first outcome in Technology.
It is always exciting welcoming new Year 7 students in to our Technology classrooms. In Fabrics the students have gained a wide range of new skills when learning how to design and create a cushion cover and inner.
All students have gained confidence setting up and using their sewing machine. We have covered sewing straight lines, reversing and corner pivoting.
Classes are really looking forward to admiring the many cushions that are currently under construction. Be sure to ask your tamariki to share a few highlights from their fabrics journey so far.
And look out for the gorgeous finished product and workbook that will be coming home soon. These show the excellent learning involved and their report is in the back of it.
