The Move - By Leo Mundy, Year 7

His friends would slowly forget about him, his house would be taken over by random people and he would be surrounded by people he didn't know.
This was of course the painful process known as moving out.
He wouldn't know anyone in the new place,
It seemed thousands of miles away on the maps and photos that his mum showed him.
As he was packing up he felt like he was packing up his final boxes he felt like he was packing away his life.
His mum called him from downstairs,”you finished yet?”
“Not yet mom!”
He sighed, there was far too much change for him.
He picked up his final box and dragged them downstairs,
”Im done”
“Well done, you're being so good about this move!”
He didn't feel good but he let his mum have her fantasy.
As they loaded the boxes into the moving van he became more and more nervous.
What if a box fell off?
What if the truck's engine dies? Worst of all, what if I get bullied!
The van started up and his mum squeezed his shoulder
As they drove past he felt like it took millions of years and like he went millions of miles.
The journey had been long and perilous,
he’d moved to the other side of the street.
