Year 7 Fabrics

Our Year 7 ākonga are well under way in our Fabrics classroom.
Some of our Year 7 ākonga have started their journey in Technolgy working with soft materials - Fabrics.
I am proud of the progress every single student has made in a short period of time. Their confidence has grown and many can set their machine up independently.
We are working hard on sewing straight lines, corner pivots and reversing.
Our first cushions will be making their way home in the next week or so.
Everyone chose their fabric thinking about the (primary stakeholder) person they chose to make their cushion for.
Please celebrate the learning and skill development of each ākonga when you get to see their epic cushion cover and inner. They are proud and so is their teacher.
